Painted Monster Slaughter miniatures

By Andreas-B - MONSTER - November 02, 2018, 00:18:22

I thought it would be great to see some minis painted by the community.

So I'll make a start with the ghost family.
They are just drybrushed over the transparent plastic with 4 different blue tones. Not a pro paintjob but what I wanted them to look like.
c&c are welcome.

Looks great Andreas-B, I was wondering how to tackle the painting of the ghost family.  I will more than likely follow your example. smile

Got our copy over the weekend and made a start on them, first time ever painting miniatures so any tips greatly appreciated - have mostly done victims and guests (baring a few facial details, tidying up bases etc)

I'll write some tips later, on my Facebook art page and post the link here. But first here's officer Roscoe.

  • @Metallimark, the link doesn't work. sad
The Highlights on the blue uniform are drybrushed and then shaded with black wash. The flesh tone was shaded with a dark brown wash and then again painted on the upper parts with the same flesh tone

oh damn sad - that sounds like a pro-job you've done there, we just literally painted them with stock colours etc - like i say - first time we've ever done it.

waiting on a finer brush for things like eyes, tattoos, extra detailing etc

Thats a good start. If you now use a dark wash over the whole mini, you'll have a great result.

Thanks Andreas-B smile - not the best artists as you can see - also (and here is how "newb"/beginner I am) when you say dark wash do you mean just literally watered down heavily black/browns etc??

No, there are different washes from Games-Workshop, Valleijo or Army Painter.

Have done this now and you were right - bang on!! - thanks for the advice - really helped. Got about half of the pieces done now, still 6 families to go!!

Don't forget to post pictures

Will do, still got to do the bases (currently still primer!), but here's my finished attempt at the ghosts following Andreas-B's dry brushing advice - wasn't too bad for a first go!!!!

Only difference was I did a white dry brush, followed with blue wash, then secondary white dry brush again (experimenting a bit!), with bases deliberately dry-brushed.

Keep them coming, we'd like to make a special update on our Kickstarter about our painting community in the future. And we'll keep checking these forums for new painted beauties!
