Questions regarding the Tool Shed Expansion

So I realized there are questions related only to the Tool Shed and decided to create a dedicated thread.
I'll just start right away:
During regular play, there are only 8 nocturnal events. Because of this, there is no event at 8:00 am.
Rules for the shed (Page 22) do not state to remove one nocturnal event card before adding in "Outta here".
So I take it, when playing with the expansion, there are 9 nocturnal events, the last one being at 8:00 am.
Do you play it like this as well? Or am I missing something obvious?
